Happiness House Recognizes Employees at 14th Annual Staff Recognition Event

The Board of Directors and staff at Happiness House gathered at the Albright Auditorium on the Hobart & William Smith College campus to recognize staff and to celebrate the culmination of another outstanding year. One of the highlights of this event was the introduction of the nominees for the Mary W. Griswold Professional Service Award, which recognizes the exceptional work of Happiness House staff members, who in and through their work exemplify the mission and vision of the agency. The award was established in memory of Mary W. Griswold, a former member of Happiness House’s Board of Directors.

Nominated by their peers, this year’s finalists included: Jennifer Gruschow, Kristen Hartwell, Heidi Haus, Kara Hooper, Diane Kozar, Linda Meritt, Margie Rockwell, Cathy Shane, Anna Spoor and Jessica (Williams) McDonald. This year’s recipients of the Mary W. Griswold Professional Service Award (pictured below, left to right) are: Heidi Haus, Jennifer Gruschow and Marjorie Rockwell.

This event celebrated 28 Years of Service Award recipients including:

Harlene Gilbert was honored for her 30 Years of Service and Linda Meritt was offered congratulations on her retirement.

5 Years of Service: Kathryn Cornish, Kara Laquitara, Therese Lawson, Kristen Newman, Rachel Peck, Thomas Shepard, Laura Wakley, Sonia Whitley, Jennifer Woodhall and Heidi Young.

10 Years of Service: Pamela Adams, Julie Bertram, Mindy Gilbert, Jennifer Gruschow, Amy Hamlin, Jamie Simon and Darrell Whitbeck.

15 Years of Service: Anne Battaglia, Lynne Colacino, Diane Crofoot, Marie Havens and Sondra Scoins.

20 Years of Service: Patricia Cunningham, Karen Miller, Jill Mundy and Jackie Schmit.

25 Years of Service: Lydia Naegele.

 

Happiness House- Finger Lakes Cerebral Palsy Association is a private nonprofit health and human service agency that has been serving communities in the Finger Lakes region in Upstate New York since 1969. Today with sites in Geneva, Canandaigua, Gorham, and Waterloo, Happiness House offers an array of educational program, recreational and family support services for children and adults with and without disabilities who reside in Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, and Yates counties. On average Happiness House serves 1,000 individuals and their families each year.
