Service Coordination
Happiness House provides service coordination to children who qualify under the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities regulations. The Service Coordinator acts as an advocate for the child with the school district, refers the child to community resources such as doctors and recreation programs, links the child and family to supports and services that are available, and monitors all services for satisfaction. Children qualify through age eight and may continue to qualify after this, depending on their needs. The Service Coordinator will assist the family through this process.
We provide Care at Home Service Coordination III, IV and VI to those that meet eligibility requirements. The Care at Home Medicaid Waiver programs are administered by the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities. This program is designed to assist families of children with developmental disabilities combined with severe medical conditions living at home.
