Support Services
Happiness House offers a variety of support services for preschool children who are enrolled in our Early Childhood Educational Services Programs. Children may receive counseling from a certified, licensed school psychologist as part of their Individual Educational Plan (I.E.P.). Happiness House Programs also offer parenting skill counseling as part of an I.E.P. along with parent support groups. The Preschool Child Development Program (P.C.D.P.) is available to help children improve social skill development in a play setting. The children work with a P.C.D.P. Associate on the identification and appropriate expression of various emotions, reciprocal and cooperative play, following directions as well as positive ways to channel anger and frustration.

Family Partnership Program
Happiness House provides a reimbursement program to families to assist with the higher costs related to their child’s disability. Each application is reviewed by a committee of staff and parents. Items that can be reimbursed include continence products, babysitting (not daycare), educational items, sensory items, and other therapeutic items. This service is available to families with children 3 years of age or older. Requests can be one-time or for ongoing needs.
