Happiness House to Honor NYS Senator Michael Nozzolio

Geneva, New York (September 15, 2016) Happiness House, which has held a special place in the heart of New York State Senator Michael Nozzolio (54 – R, C, IP) for many years, is hosting a very special tribute event for the out-going senator on Friday, September 23, 2016. The celebration, taking place at Happiness House’s Geneva location at 731 Pre-Emption Road at 1:30 p.m., will honor Senator Nozzolio’s generosity and years of unwavering work and dedication on behalf of adults and children with disabilities. The event is free and open to the public.

“Senator Nozzolio has been instrumental in countless initiatives in support of individuals with disabilities and their families – not just for our organization, but for all agencies who serve this special population,” said Mary Walsh Boatfield, President and CEO of Happiness House, CP Rochester, and Rochester Rehabilitation. “His commitment to a mission of service has been instrumental in the success and growth of programs offered by human service organizations throughout the Finger Lakes Region.”

In 2009, Senator Nozzolio was the recipient of the Happiness is Helping Humanitarian Award – presented to him at the agency’s annual Gala Dinner and Auction Event. The senator received this award in part for his continual support of individuals with disabilities, and helping Happiness House secure funding to enhance services throughout his long and distinguished career.
