Happiness House/Finger Lakes United Cerebral Palsy, Inc. Holds 16th Annual Staff Recognition Event!

The Board of Directors and staff at Happiness House assembled at The Inn at the Lake to recognize staff and to celebrate the culmination of another outstanding year. One of the highlights of this event is the introduction of the nominees for the Mary W. Griswold Professional Service Award, which recognizes the exceptional work of Happiness House staff members, who in and through their work exemplify the mission and vision of the agency. The award was established in memory of Mary W. Griswold, a former member of Happiness House’s Board of Directors.

Nominated by their peers, this year’s outstanding finalists include: Shawn Stenquist (Supervisor of Service Coordination), Laura Moss (Service Coordinator), Diane Kozar (Clinical Department Coordinator & PT), Carmela "Aggy" Osborne (Speech Language Pathologist), Jenny Perron (1:1 Autism Aide), Kara Laquitara (Special Education Teacher), Sara Kent (Elementary Education Teacher), Lynn Johnston (Finance Director), Kileen Smith (Supervisor of Home and Community Services) and Jamie Simon (Program Secretary).

Congratulations to Diane Kozar, Jamie Simon and Shawn Stenquist who were selected as this year’s award recipients!

This event celebrates 20 “Years of Service” Award recipients including:

5 Years of Service: Pamela Bailey, Kara Hooper, Jessica McDonald, Carmela Osborne, Jenny Perron, Joseph Preston, and Gordon Spencer

10 Years of Service: Shawn Stenquist, Jamie McKenna and Cheryl Schaefer-Coppola

15 Years of Service: Kerry Crawley, Kelly Happ, Katie Principio and Heather Ryan

20 Years of Service: Maureen Schuck, Cathy Shane, Terrie Meyn and Judy Schwarz

This year's new Ambassadors include: Cathy Shane, Hannah Stone, Alexandria Shultz, Jackie Slack, Jamie McKenna, Alicia Armstrong, Kara Laquitara, Judy Goodman, Pam Bailey, Rachel Peck, Jessica LaVarnway, Sue Rey, Kristen Klyczek, Chris Forsythe, Heidi Colf, Sue Dancause and Lauren Eilers-Lloyd.

Happiness House is grateful to each and every staff member for their excellent work throughout the year.

 

Happiness House- Finger Lakes United Cerebral Palsy, Inc. is an educational, residential, private nonprofit health and human service agency that has been serving communities in the Finger Lakes region in Upstate New York since 1969. Today with sites in Canandaigua, Geneva, Gorham, South Seneca, and Waterloo, Happiness House offers an array of programs and services for children and adults with and without disabilities who reside in Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, and Yates counties. On average Happiness House serves 1,150 individuals and their families each year.
