Service Coordination
Early Intervention Service Coordination
Happiness House provides an ongoing Service Coordinator to each family whose child needs to access services. The Service Coordinator provides advocacy for the child and family, ensures access to all needed services, makes referrals to community-based services such as doctors and support groups, and monitors all services for satisfaction. As the child reaches age three, the Service Coordinator also assists the family with the transition to pre-school services. Service Coordinators are available at both the Canandaigua and Geneva sites.
Pre-School Service Coordination
Happiness House provides service coordination to children who qualify under the Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities regulations. The Service Coordinator acts as an advocate for the child with the school district, refers the child to community resources such as doctors and recreation programs, links the child and family to available support and services, and monitors all services for satisfaction. As the child is ready to move into the school system, the Service Coordinator assists the family with the transition process. Service Coordinators are available at both the Canandaigua and Geneva sites.
