EVALUATION SERVICES - [Children]
Comprehensive developmental evaluation services are available at no cost to
parents for children, birth to five years of age, with known or suspected developmental
disabilities or delays. A developmental evaluation is the initial step in determining
eligibility for services through guidelines set by the Department of Health
(birth to three years of age) and the State Education Department (three to five
years of age). Happiness House has a birth to five interdisciplinary evaluation
team consisting of: the director of evaluations, speech therapists, occupational
therapists, physical therapists, psychologists and special education teachers.
The child's primary area(s) of need determines the type of evaluation provided.
Evaluations are provided in Ontario, Seneca, Wayne and Yates Counties. Happiness
House offers evaluations at its Geneva, Canandaigua and Waterloo sites, as well
as in a child's home or in a preschool / child care setting if possible.
