CANANDAIGUA HEAD START - [Children]
This comprehensive early childhood education program is
for children, ages three and four years old, that live near Canandaigua. Priority
consideration is given to children of low-income families and children with special
needs or disabilities. The Head Start program provides for the educational needs
of children, as well as for their social, emotional, health and nutritional requirements.
Head Start recognizes the major role of the family in child development and gives
families an opportunity to learn about the needs of their children and to be
involved in program planning and policymaking. We are a family program
our
services are for the child enrolled in the program and their family.
There is no cost to families; transportation is provided to and from the center; and a psychologist, nurse and family service facilitator offer services to children and families. Occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy services are available as part of the program if indicated through evaluation.
Head Start is building families give your child a Head Start.
