Groundbreaking Ceremony for new Happiness House State of the Art Facility
in Canandaigua
Happiness House – Finger Lakes Cerebral Palsy Association celebrated the groundbreaking of its new 23,000 square foot state of the art facility on County Road 30 in Canandaigua on Monday, August 29th at 2:00pm. This new facility will continue to house our preschool and Early Childhood Education Services and our rapidly expanding Traumatic Brain Injury Program for adults. This new space will allow Happiness House additional classroom/program, therapeutic and recreational space. Happiness House has enriched the lives of many by offering services to children, adults, and their families.
The new building project is supported by Happiness House’s “Happiness Is Helping” Capital Campaign. The campaign chairman and president of Bulb Direct, Inc. of Rochester is Charles T. Graham. The Honorary Capital Campaign chairpersons include Mark D. and Mary Herlihy Gearan and Brian P. and Kelly D. Meath. The chairman of the Board of Directors is Bernie G. Lynch, Lynch Furniture~Geneva, and the Executive Director of Happiness House is Mary Walsh-Boatfield. Thanks to the support of the Board of Directors, the staff and the community at large we are closer to achieving our goal.
Happiness House- Finger Lakes Cerebral Palsy Association is a private nonprofit health and human service agency that has been serving communities in the Finger Lakes region in Upstate New York since 1969. Today with sites in Geneva, Canandaigua, and Waterloo, Happiness House offers an array of educational program, recreational and family support services for children and adults with and without disabilities who reside in Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, and Yates counties. On average Happiness House serves 700 individuals and their families each year.
