Happiness House Partners with F. L. Technical & Career Center
Students from the horticulture class at the Finger Lakes Technical and Career Center, in Stanley, are partnering with Happiness House – Finger Lakes Cerebral Palsy Association on a landscaping project. The students and their instructor, Mark VanBortel, will be working on the project at Happiness House, located at 731 Pre-Emption Road in Geneva, from May 25th - 27th. Landscape design drawings and recommendations of plants and trees to be used for the project were developed and presented by the students during project planning meetings held at Happiness House. The project is being funded by grants received from Chase-Pitkin Home and Garden, in the amount of $1,500, and F.F. Thompson Foundation, Inc. (Mary Clark Thompson Community Health Grants), in the amount of $2,000.
