Congressman Michael Arcuri tours Happiness House

On May 29th, 2007, Congressman Michael Arcuri and his staff visited Happiness House – Finger Lakes Cerebral Palsy Association (Geneva).  Congressman Arcuri represents the 24th Congressional District, which includes Cayuga and Seneca Counties, and the City of Geneva.
Since taking office in January of ‘07, Congressman Arcuri has worked hard to ensure that our children have the educational opportunities they need to succeed. Congressman Arcuri visited Happiness House’s preschool children with and without developmental disabilities in the western part of his Congressional District.
Happiness House’s Executive Director, Mary Walsh Boatfield, and the Board of Directors were eager to share information about Happiness House’s various programs and services we have to offer, and the growing needs of the families we serve in the Finger Lakes community.
Pictured below, Happiness House’s Waterloo Universal Pre-Kindergarten children sang a special song for Congressman Arcuri; pictured here behind the children (left to right) are Mark Gearan (Happiness House Capital Campaign Honorary Chairman and President of Hobart & William Smith Colleges), and his wife, Mary Herlihy Gearan (Happiness House Honorary Capitol Campaign Chairperson, and Board of Directors Vice Chair), Mary Walsh Boatfield (Happiness House Executive Director), Michael Coppola (Happiness House Board Chairman), Congressman Michael Arcuri, and Charles Graham (Happiness House Capitol Campaign Chairman).

Below, Congressman Arcuri also took time out to read a story to Happiness House preschoolers.

Happiness House- Finger Lakes Cerebral Palsy Association is a private nonprofit health and human service agency that has been serving communities in the Finger Lakes region in Upstate New York since 1969.  Today with sites in Geneva, Canandaigua, Gorham, and Waterloo, Happiness House offers an array of educational program, recreational and family support services for children and adults with and without disabilities who reside in Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, and Yates counties.  On average Happiness House serves 1,000 individuals and their families each year.
