Happiness House/Finger Lakes Cerebral Palsy Association Partners with the Aeneas McDonald / Geneva Police Benevolent Association to hold 2009 Poker Run/Bike Fest Rally & Show

The festivities will begin with Happiness House’s Annual Poker Run beginning at the Canandaigua American Legion, 454 N Main Street, Canandaigua, New York on Saturday, August 29th, 2009. Registration is from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., and breakfast will be available to purchase at the Canandaigua American Legion. The fee for operators is $20 and $15 for passengers and non-riding participants and includes a free t-shirt. The last bike leaves at 11:00 a.m. and returns by 3:00 p.m. This event is open to ALL makes of motorcycles!

Motorcycle Riders and passengers will enjoy a 90 mile poker run along the beautiful Finger Lakes with four stops including Turner-Schrader Post 34 American Legion, Penn Yan American Legion, Dundee American Legion and the Geneva American Legion. The last card will be drawn at the Bike Fest Rally & Show sponsored by the Geneva PBA located at the Geneva Lakefront adjacent to the Ramada Geneva Lakefront. The event will be held on the five acre property just North of the Ramada.

Major sponsors of this event thus far include: Classics & Customs LLC, Paint Masters Auto Finishes, Relph Benefit Advisors, Rochester Lead Works, Action Towing & Service, Harwood Enterprises LLC and the Canandaigua American Legion Post 256. The Geneva PBA, which is an incorporated not-for-profit charitable fundraising organization comprised of all members of the City of Geneva Police Department, Ramada Geneva Lakefront, Geneva-Harley Davidson, Stivers Enterprises, Lynch Furniture-Geneva and Lyons National Bank.

The Bikefest Rally & Show sponsored by the Geneva Police PBA is open to the general public and motorcyclists free of charge from Noon – 8:00. A fee of $5.00 per bike enters you into the Classic & Custom Motorcycle show. This show is open to all motorcycles, whether they be registered or not (push, pull, ride - anyway you get it here is fine by us). The festival site will be fenced with controlled access. All show bikes will be displayed under a large tent in case of rain. THIS IS A RAIN OR SHINE EVENT! The event will include live music throughout the day, a pig roast, food, a burn out pit, bike wash and raffles.

The Geneva PBA is currently looking for Motorcycle dealers and vendors to attend the event. The cost of vendor space is just a $50.00 donation for whatever size space you need. Happiness House- Finger Lakes Cerebral Palsy Association is a private nonprofit educational, health and human service organization that has been serving communities in the Finger Lakes region in Upstate New York since 1969. Today with sites in Canandaigua, Geneva, Gorham, and Waterloo, Happiness House offers an array of educational program, recreational and family support services for children and adults with and without disabilities who reside in Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, and Yates counties. On average Happiness House serves 1,000 individuals and their families each year.
