From our Chair Betsy Kubiak
Forty plus years of Happiness House history have passed with historic results. From humble beginnings initiated by dedicated parents, to progressive teaching and support methods by equally dedicated professionals and volunteers today, Happiness House continues to break new ground in identifying the needs of the communities it serves. How fortunate we are!
Over the past two years, the Board of Directors of the Happiness House Foundation has embarked on a journey of similarly ambitious proportions. Initial financial support has been provided as a way of laying the groundwork for a fund raising effort, the goal of which is to create an endowment that will ensure a viable and sustainable future for the programs and services Happiness House provides to those in need.
Presently, we go forward during difficult economic times, even more committed to sharing our knowledge of the good work done by this organization. We remain diligent to educating those not familiar with the services available while also sharing what we know to be true. And that is the fact that none of us knows when or how we or a member of our family may be affected by Autism, Traumatic Brain Injury, Stroke or related impairments. Any one of us might require support services. And so may family members as caregivers. Improved quality of life is a measureable result of the vast array of services currently provided at Happiness House.
I am committed to doing all I can to further these endeavors. I invite you to participate in a way that is comfortable for you, be it volunteering, participating in a supporting event or by a charitable contribution. Each of us can do our part to ensure this vital organization is there when succeeding generations need it.
