TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) Program Assistant

Full Time (36 hours/week) vacancy available at our Canandaigua site. Duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Functions as the primary assistant to the TBI Program Specialist.
  2. Implements each program participant’s therapeutic and behavioral plans under the guidance of the TBI Program Specialist.
  3. Works with individuals on special instructional projects to achieve goals on each individual’s Program Plan.
  4. Provides the TBI Program Specialist with information about program participants, which will assist in the development of appropriate program experiences for all participants.
  5. Charts individual’s performance according to established guidelines and timeframes.
  6. Assists in the development of instructional materials.

Qualified Candidates Require:

  1. High School Diploma.
  2. One year of experience providing services to individuals with disabilities, preferably working with individuals with traumatic brain injury.

Community Habilitation Specialist

Part time (20-25 hours) vacancy available in the Canandaigua area. Duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Provides assistance and training to program participants to help them acquire daily living skills which will enable these individuals to better function in their living community or in a more independent living situation.
  2. Provides functional assessment of a wide variety of life skills and provides appropriate feedback to program participants with regard to strengths, areas to develop and barriers to overcome.
  3. Develops appropriate service plan goals and activities to help consumers reach their goals.
  4. Accompanies program participants to locations in the community to help them learn how to access and utilize community resources, including health and safety resources.
  5. Assist program participants in accessing recreational and social activities, thus enabling them to utilize their leisure time appropriately.

Human Resource Generalist

Full time job opportunity working in the Human Resources Department at the Geneva site. The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties in supporting the HR Manager and Vice President and the overall HR Support to the Agencies. This position carries out responsibilities in the following areas: recruitment/employment, employment law compliance, onboarding and benefit administration. Position includes comprehensive benefit plan and competitive compensation. Duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.
  2. Maintains all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies.
  3. Implements full recruitment initiatives providing support to hiring managers to include but not limited to: internal and external job postings/ads, promoting the Agency’s job vacancies at job fairs, reviewing applications, screening applicants, performing reference checks, initiating offer letters, etc.

Accounting Supervisor

Full time vacancy 37.5 hours a week at our Geneva location. Includes competitive rate and comprehensive benefits. Duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Performs month-end closing procedures for Happiness House, Ability Partners Foundation and HH Apartments.
  2. Enters all journal entries on computerized accounting system monthly.
  3. Performs reconciliations of assigned general ledger accounts.
  4. Tracks residential receivables on a monthly basis to ensure that all rent is paid timely, and works with Rep Payee/Apartment Manager to collect any outstanding amounts.
  5. Performs Self-Directed State billing.
  6. Performs grant billing as assigned.
  7. Supervises Accounts Payable function and provides guidance to other finance office staff.

Billing Manager

Full time job opportunity supporting Happiness House and CP Rochester and working between the Geneva Site and Winton Road, Rochester Site. Offers competitive salary with comprehensive benefit plan. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for both of the agency’s day-to-day Billing and Accounts Receivables management.
  • Oversee the Article 16/28 billing functions at CP Rochester (CP) and Happiness House (HH) including development of an expertise in Article 16 & 28 billing practices.
  • Supervise assigned bookkeepers and billing staff on the CP & HH Financial Services Team.
  • Complete monthly reconciliations for all AR accounts for both CP & HH.
  • Work with other Departments to ensure billing is timely and accurate.
  • Ensure the financial records of CP Rochester and Happiness House are properly reconciled and maintained.
  • Analyze financial data and provide periodic reports for internal use.

Service Coordinator Level 2

3 Positions Available - Full Time (37.5 hour) vacancy available at our Geneva location. Service Coordinators identify the needs of disabled individuals and work with the individuals/families to develop plans for the delivery of services. Service Coordinators duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Identifies the needs of disabled individuals and their families.
  2. Provides information, referral and advocacy services to individuals of all ages with disabilities and their families.
  3. Works with families/individuals to develop appropriate plans for the delivery of services.
  4. Coordinates implementation of the services by assuring appropriate communication and cooperation is maintained by all supports and providers of services outlined in the plan.
  5. Establishes and maintains a cooperative working relationship with area human service agencies, local school districts and individuals, as pertinent.
  6. Arranges for clinical assessments to determine the person’s functional status, service needs and recommendations for interventions.
  7. Assumes a lead role and coordinates all activities for people on caseload.
  8. Assists the consumer and/or family to gain a variety of skills including self-advocacy, problem solving and skills to increase their independence.

Quality Assurance Specialist and Structured Day Program (SDP) Case Manager

Full time opportunity working for Happiness House in the Structured Day Program as Case Manager as well as Quality Assurance Specialist supporting the QA Department for Happiness House and CP Rochester. Work sites would be Canandaigua and some travel to CP Rochester. Offers competitive salary with comprehensive benefit plan. Duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Completes thorough and objective investigations of incidents along with proposed plans of corrective action and maintains incident files.
  2. Completes routine internal audits of programs including chart, billing, and program audits.
  3. Fulfills the agency’s Incident Report and Management Application (IRMA) management responsibilities.
  4. Prepares policies for policy review committees.
  5. Ensures all internal and external incident reporting documentation and notification requirements are completed within their specified timeframes.
  6. Reports identified trends that impact the quality of services provided along with plans of corrective action to the Director of QA.

Special Education Teacher

Direct Support Professional

Full time, part time, summer and relief positions located in Gorham, NY (between Geneva and Canandaigua) in a residential setting for teens and young adults with disabilities. Evening and overnight shifts available with competitive rates.

Direct Support Professionals duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Provide oversight to ensure safety and supervision of residents.
  2. Provide assistance, training and supervision with various activities of daily living, helping each individual to improve their ability to live more independently.

Full day and half day vacancies at our Geneva and Waterloo site preschool program. Substitute Aides needed for Canandaigua, Geneva and Waterloo preschool programs.

Typical duties of our Aides include but are not limited to:

  1. Implements educational, therapeutic and behavioral plans under the direct supervision of the special education teachers, therapy staff, psychologist and input from early education teacher for their assigned child.
  2. Assists the children throughout the day as directed by the Special Education Teacher.
  3. Supervises assigned child at all times (with the exception of lunch break, meetings and/or training), including during busing and transitional activities.

  1. Sweep, mop, clean windows and vacuum floor surfaces and strip/wax floors according to cleaning schedule provided by Maintenance Supervisor.
  2. Disinfect all bathrooms and bathroom fixtures on a daily basis using designated cleaning products and following proper protection guidelines.
  3. Perform routine maintenance and repair/replace of light fixtures, air filters and other minor building equipment.
  4. Assures entry and exit ways are clear of debris including snow during the winter months. Assists with clearing snow from sidewalks.
