CEO UPDATE
- Ribbon cutting for the Transitional Home is scheduled for 2/9/12 at 10 am at the Canandaigua site. Many thanks to Wegmans and Federal Home Loan Bank for their recent generosity toward this project.
- The utilization of interactive technology has been significantly enhanced by the introduction of the eBeam and iPads into the Happiness House New Friends Preschool classrooms. Happiness House wishes to extend its gratitude to Brenda & Dave Rickey Foundation, The Williams Family Foundation, and Ronald McDonald House Charities for their unwavering commitment to our preschool programs.

Transitional House Partnerships include The Golisano Foundation, First Niagara Bank and Guardian Industries.
Ronald McDonald House Charities awarded us $7,788 to purchase 12 iPads, covers and application cards for both sites.
- Our families benefited from Wegmans annual Pirate Toy Fund drive. Donations made by the community helped to make our families’ holidays a little brighter.

- Krystyna Estes and Tiffany Yancey were honored at the “Celebrate Staff” dinner at the New York State Cerebral Palsy Conference held in Saratoga Springs.
- A Happiness House child and an adult both had their artwork featured at the Annual State CP Conference.
- Our first ever jingle advertisement started airing on The Finger Lakes Radio Group hot country stations WCGR 104.5FM/WFLK 101.7FM and 1550AM.
- We now have 99 friends who like us on Facebook, a 25% increase in one month.
- A holiday tree decorated by the TBI program participants was displayed at Granger Homestead.
- Bruce Proper was named recipient of the John P. Clary award.
- Awards were announced for the 9th Annual Happiness House Gala Dinner & Auction Event hosted by Founding & Major Sponsor Belhurst Castle and presented by Five Star Bank.
Recipients included:
• “Happiness is Helping” Humanitarian Award: B. Thomas Golisano, the Golisano Foundation
• Volunteer of the Year – Jarrid E. Blades, Senior at Hobart College/Hobart Statesmen
• Outstanding Board Member of the Year – Roy M. Beecher
Our keynote speaker was Andrea “Andy” Bonafiglia, Bonadent Dental Laboratories.
